KOIRALA-INDIA NEXUS TO CORNER THE MAOISTS EXPOSED

Politics is the art of the possible. What else I had read in some books on Political Science that politics is a dirty game and it never takes a straight course.
Whether it is dirty play or not I can’t explain because I am not in politics or whatsoever, however, what is for sure is that the course it charts is really a topsy-turvy one.
But for some the game is not only a pious one but straight also.
Take for example, Koirala and India.
To take Koirala first.
With Oxygen-mask at hand most of the times; he maneuvered the MJF (Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum) leaders as if the Forum were an entity in his pockets. It could not be so as explained here, however, the manner the MJF president came out of the talks with the government provides inkling into the tacit arrangement of the Koirala hand-in-glove with the Forum.
We would not dare to say nor do we have the right to substantiate that the MJF was masterminded by Koirala and his family, for example Sujata Koirala, however, the number of demands that has well been accepted by the Koirala government is not only puzzling but a hair pulling one.
The points agreed upon by the government is 22, a number that very interestingly tallies with what have been forwarded by the Maoists as preconditions for CA polls slated for this November.
Question arises thus why this 22? A number that challenges now the Maoists. After all the points agreed upon by the government team could have been 20, or even 25, but why it is exactly 22?
The catch 22 situation indeed!
However, we have some clues as to why it has been 22.
First, the 22 point demands have been agreed upon by the government to the MJF leaders that they were “equal” to the Maoists, no more no less!
Second, the manner Upendra Yadav upon the completion of the agreement with the government, beamingly said that the “war” was over and that “every body” now should concentrate on the CA polls.
Third, the whole idea of this 22 has been a meticulously drawn ploy of the government to signal the Maoists that “you have been cornered”.
Fourth, by signing the 22 point agreement with the Maoists, the government also has indicated the Maoists that “your match” has been found in Terai where by all means the Maoists are the losers, if the CA polls are held at all?
Fifth, the way Upendra Yadav yielded to Koirala and his government’s plea does hint that the MJF is by all means a “moderate” Madhesi outfit.
Sixth, the ease with which the government pleased the MJF president was a surprising event indeed which does indicate that the MJF wanted to get itself “recognized” as a party which it secured for itself by signing the said agreement.
To boot, the said agreement with the MJF did come after a rigorous exercise indeed.
Ambassador Shiv Shankar Mukherjee (the two full forms of Lord Pashupatinath) have had to bring his folding Sofa Set to Baluatar wherein he resided for two days and two nights in series. The dates were August 27, 28 and 29, for your record.
Let us hope that he sleeps for some more nights in the coming weeks so that Goit, Cobra and the Tigers too fall in line with the government thus adding to the mental trouble of the Maoists.
All in all, what appears visible are that Koirala and India both supplement and complement each other.
Understand the message contained herein. If written more might annoy some.
Ambassador Mukherjee, If you love Nepal we beg that you keep on this tradition of sleeping at Nepal’s PM’s official residence even if uninvited so that we the Nepalese could “sleep” in a peaceful manner in the days ahead.
Thus the whole game is to corner the Maoists. Needless to say, Koirala and Mukherjee are in tandem for a variety of political understandable reasons.
Oxygen mask is simply a method acquired of late by PM Koirala to befool the Maoists. Long live Koirala-India friendship.
Maoists, Be aware of Koirala designs!
