Mechi-Mahakali march

The YCL (Young Communist League)-the Maoists youth affiliate has started Mechi-Mahakali march from today.
The said march, according to reports, has been called for creating awareness among the population for republic declaration and strengthening nationalism.
The Maoists’ central committee member and a high ranking leader, Mr. Ram Bahadur Thapa alias Badal lunched the “march campaign” in Gongabu, Kathmandu, today.
According to the YCL-Kathmandu Chapter President, Sagar, the march will be completed within one and a half month and the main idea behind this campaign is to make people aware of unnecessary foreign meddling in Nepal’s internal matters and the need for declaring the country a democratic republic.
It is estimated that more than 5 Lakhs volunteers will join the campaign, add reports।
